Out in the 'whale'derness
The whale watching cruise departing 12:30pm from Hillarys Boat Harbour was a great success with passengers sighting over 9 pods! The Humpback Highway was busy with multiple active whales, our passengers witnessed the whales surface swimming with some big breaches with some whales whole body breaching out of the water. A smaller humpback head lunging over 5 times in front of the vessel. Our whale watching cruise headed further west on the Indian Ocean to meet a mother and calf who started breaching for our passengers 20m off the bow. Legally our vessel turns off all engines once they are 150m away from whales, having these whales swim so close to our whale watching vessel was a very special experience for our passengers; they had a great vantage point from our sun deck. It was a great day out on our whale watching cruise!
